Bridal makeup is my forte, and although it’s hard work, and sometimes very stressful I love it! I try and keep my prices as low as I can, but invariably Bridal makeup is more expensive than special occasion makeup. Let’s find out why!
Premium Products!

I don’t skimp on the products I use! Bridal makeup has to last from the time it’s applied, to the time it’s taken off, and that’s usually late at night! High end makeup contains more pigmentations, has higher quality ingredients, and the products I use are vegan, certified cruelty free, and plant-based. The cost to produce them is higher, but you cannot beat the quality or longevity! The main brand I use is LimeLife by Alcone which is a professional makeup company, and their products are widely used in TV, Film, Theatre and on the Red Carpet, hence why I stock them!
High Demand And Limited Availability!

There’s only one of me, and once I’m booked, I’m booked! Wedding days are unique events, and I dedicate my entire day to one wedding. I always end up turning down other clients, so a higher price is charged to factor in loss of business. Is this unfair? Not when I allocate a whole day to a bride and her bridal party!
Specialisation And Expertise

Makeup Artists invest a lot of time, money, and training into specialising in Bridal Makeup. We have to create long-lasting, camera-ready looks, and the makeup has to look beautiful for hours! That’s no easy feat, and makeup application has to be suitable for a variety of skin types, tones and ages. Everyone’s face and skin is uniques, so experience in makeup application techniques are a must!
Extensive Preparation!

Bridal makeup involves many things, not just the makeup on the wedding day! I am constantly replying to enquiries, and always happy to have a chat with a prospective client before she commits to booking me for her wedding. Once a wedding is confirmed, there’s the trial to organise and book, inspiration photos to peruse over, and often a lot of messages to reply to in the run up to the wedding day! Changes to the bridal party nearly always happen, which involves more admin, and then there the running order for the day to plan, and for larger bridal parties I have a trusted Makeup Artist friend I need to book! I am often found doing my admin late into the night when I should be in bed!
Would I Change A Thing?

Absolutely not! I really LOVE doing Bridal makeup. I love being part of the journey couples go on in their preparation for their new life together! It’s always sad when the wedding day is over. I spend many hours getting to know someone, and then after the wedding they’re no longer in my life! I doubt I’ll ever get used to that, but when I read the amazing reviews couples leave, I know I have I have the best job in the world! Want to know more? Find out here!
